Justice - On'n'on
Justice recently released the video for their track ‘On’n’on’. Check it out below.
I first heard the track on a Lupe Fiasco mixtape. I immediately liked it. The Justice sound and Lupe’s flow come together pretty well.
My favorite version so far is the Brodinski remix, which is featured on the January mix by A-Trak for Sirius XM / Fool’s Gold Radio.

Operation Blue Bra
I noticed Suicide Geeks had posted the image you see below. I had no clue what it was about, and I didn’t think much of it. But…
(source: Suicide Geeks)
The mask should have been a clue. The image comes from a person supporting the movement against bad treatment of women worldwide, but specifically in places where women’s rights are (nearly) non-existent.
Why the blue bra?...

Obey your master
On Monday 28th of May 2012, you might find me at Werchter Boutique where I will be enjoying some live Metallica. Yay me! \o/
I have seen Metallica perform a couple years back in Paris, so if I had the choice I would have loved to go to an exhibit called ‘Obey Your Master’ (at Exhibit A Gallery) which is a tribute to the band. The exhibit shows work from Shepard Fairy and 4 other...

A plea for fur
This is PETA’s latest campaign where they ask a female celebrity to pose nude.
These campaigns are brilliant. The women posing would otherwise never do such racy shoots. So thank you ladies of much age and wealth and girth (or young and lack thereof) for your necroparaphilia. Screw those creatures who aren’t all that friendly and cute-looking anyway. And it’s not like these things are being made...

Happy to have had you!
Yesterday was one of my childhood heroes his birthday and I forgot all about it. So a belated happy birthday to you Martin! And in your memory a very memorable ‘Martin Luther King’-day!
Today is the birthday of my first celebrity crush. Haven’t had one since actually. Much love to you and yours Aaliyah!

Peter & Kerry
Have you heard about Peter and Kerry? Neither had I. I came across their video of Knees yesterday. It reminds me of another song and group, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Here’s a beautiful rendition the duo did of Womack & Womack’s Teardrops:

M.E.D. (a.k.a. Medaphoar) is an MC I’ve never heard of (I’m not up on things as I used to be :( ), but his soon to be released album Classic sounds good. It’s produced by Madlib, a producer that has delivered some of the finest hip hop beats. Classic also holds great collabs such as Talib Kweli on the title track and Aloe Blacc on Where I’m from. Be sure to check out a...

Too many rappers, and still not enough emcees
The new Beasties album might be the best thing going on in hip hop right now. The clean version got leaked on to the web, so they threw the full explicit aka filthy dirty nasty version online: Hot Sauce Committee Part Two by Beastie Boys I bought it. You should to. (Post title is taken from the track ‘Too Many Rappers’ by Beastie Boys ft. Nas)

It's in the game. But not exactly.
I wanted to reply to a tweet by Polle de Maagt on gamification. I realised I needed more than a 140 characters so here’s the tweet, and below my thoughts. There’s gamification (Wikipedia) in more areas than just marketing and apps. The concept has been successfully introduced into health care, education and business. Many don’t even realise that the way they live their...

All good gameplay is hard work
I recently read Jane McGonigal’s book ‘Reality is Broken’, right after I finished ‘Delivering Happiness’ by Tony Hsieh (Zappos). I’m currently waiting for Gary Vaynerchuk’s latest ‘The Thank You Economy’ to be dropped off at my doorstep. So I haven’t read that, but I have listened to Gary for a little while now. I get the sense that...

Je ne suis qu'un soulman
I recently discovered a French soul singer called Ben L’Oncle Soul. I immediately bought his self-titled album and his rendition of the 2006 Gnarles Barkley hit ‘Crazy’. This music puts a smile on my face. I you see somebody soulstepping through Ghent, it might just be me. ;-) (Acoustic version of ‘Soulman’)

My bet with @garyvee. I hope.
A few months ago, I thought I had never heard of Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee on Twitter). Then I saw the clip of him on Late Night and had a vague recollection: Oh right. That guy who made Conan eat dirt.
His talk at Web 2.0 Expo was being share by several people I follow on Twitter. They were promoting his attendance/talk at Phare Conference (organisation by Ghent Web Valley). I loved his talk at...

Cater to yourself
After reading ‘Delivering Happiness’ by Tony Hsieh (How does one pronounce his name?) I realised that I too enjoy experiences more than whatever new game or gadget I buy myself. Less material. More substance. Fulfillment. (source: www.deliveringhappinessbook.com) A great example is the dinners I’ve been having with friends every Friday the last three weeks. Fun experiences. That’s it....

Trick or Treat
That’s how it sometimes feels like when being online where people can follow each other or easily contact each other. People don’t actually say this, but some people’s actions give me these impressions (or something alike): Follow me back or I’ll TP your blog! Why won’t you promote me?! Don’t make me egg your profile! Have you clicked my awesome link...

Don't blame the discourse.
(source: livinginstereo.com; Might want to read the blog post too.) The shooting in Tucson, AZ over a week ago made me think of Dr. King. Heroes still get hurt by senseless acts and lack of education. The American experiment is still in its experimental phase. Too many are still just dreaming. But many are acting. Many are making themselves count. Both sides of the ideological landscape. We...
