His Two Moms

Remember the young university student who spoke at a public forum about his two moms?

Zach Wahls (Twitter: @zachwahls) now has a book out on the subject. It’s based on the 12 tenets of the Boy Scout Law, basically everything the U.S. is supposed to stand for. The book is called ‘My Two Moms: Lessons of Love, Strength and What Makes a Family‘ and is out now.

He also has a new project called ‘Out To Dinner’. The idea is to have LGBT couples spend an evening with non-LGBT couples and get to know each other without focussing on politics or religion.

Here’s Zach on The Daily Show talking about the book and the project:

The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek

I just finished reading Olivia Munn’s book ‘Suck It, Wonder Woman!’ (Bought it at Bookdepository.com) and I got to say I really enjoyed it.

The first time I saw this comedienne was on The Daily Show (I know, late to the game…). The name sounded familiar though. So Google to the rescue! (Didn’t find what I knew her from.) Anyhooooo. I checked some clips of her show on G4, called ‘Attack of the Show’. She’s funny. Although for some people it might be hard to see past her gorgeous looks, apparently. Yes. But she’s funny and sounds like she knows what she talks about. And she does.

This book is Olivia Munn talking about herself and stuff she went through. It’s not a boring biography. No linear tale. She talks about events, in no particular order, she finds relevant to who she is and where she is now in her life, and gives it a comical twist.

Oh. Hey! Olivia’s on Twitter too. She even wrote a chapter in total Twitter style. It’s actually Star Wars meets Twitter. Just. Ossommm!

I would advise people to check some video of her before reading this book (See Daily Show link.), so that you get a true feeling of how she talks, how she delivers punch lines and to already get a sense of who she is. Here’s another example:

It’s a good book. It’s an easy read. It’s freakin’ funny! I hope she’ll be featured in the new Daily Show book!!!

P.S.: I love pie too!
